Last weekend we visited the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. This is a spring Tulip Festival near Mt. Vernon and is held annually, April 1 to April 30. This festival claims to be Washington’s largest, with over one million visitors each year.
We drove for about 1.5 hours to the festival venue to catch a glimpse of the wonderful tulips. There are many fields in the area and we visited RoozenGaarde. The place gets crowded later in the afternoon so we reached there early. The day was cloudy and slightly windy.
There were many wonderful colors of tulips with beautiful color combinations. We clicked lots of pictures and I found it difficult to select which ones to post as the tulips looked lovely in all. Hope you enjoy the virtual tour presented here.
The fields were colorful and we thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the different varieties of tulips. Let me know your favorite picture here.
This post also marks the 100th post on my blog and it feels awesome. I would like to thank all of you wonderful people who have motivated me along this journey. Cheers to All! 🙂
These pictures were taken at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival at Washington last spring. However I am not sure what type of tulip is this. If you know its name please let me know.

I know I am not a writer but If Ever a book is published by me it will be about my dreams and my inner thoughts echoed in Life.
This picture was taken in Summer 2013 at the Tulips festival at Skagit valley in Washington.
For this week’s Photo Challenge, stimulate your creative process and imagine which of your images you would like to see gracing the cover of a book, an album, or a magazine. Would the image inspire us to take a peek through the pages, listen to the music, or buy a ticket to the show? Would it strike a chord with viewers, making them reflect on or revisit memories of places, people, and experiences?
