Tulip Festival

Last weekend we visited the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. This is a spring Tulip Festival near Mt. Vernon and is held annually, April 1 to April 30. This festival claims to be Washington’s largest, with over one million visitors each year.

We drove for about 1.5 hours to the festival venue to catch a glimpse of the wonderful tulips. There are many fields in the area and we visited RoozenGaarde. The place gets crowded later in the afternoon so we reached there early. The day was cloudy and slightly windy.

There were many wonderful colors of tulips with beautiful color combinations. We clicked lots of pictures and I found it difficult to select which ones to post as the tulips looked lovely in all. Hope you enjoy the virtual tour presented here.

  1. Oh my goodness, all gorgeous images. That is one festival I would love to attend, and I did not know it existed right here in the U.S., and that you do not have to go to Holland to see this many tulips! Amazing photographs, thanks for the post! 🙂

  2. congratulations on 100 posts, Ruchi. how beautiful is this! am glad you had a chance to see these as well. i was at one of the RoozenGarde fields, too, but well before the official start of the festival, and most of the tulips were already in their prime. Am happy to see that the tulips have lasted as long as they did.
