During one of our vacation in India few years back we visited Mysore city for a day. The trip would not be complete without visiting the Mysore Palace. It is one of the largest and most spectacular monuments in the country. The palace itself is a three-storey stone structure which has a series of square towers with arches covered with domes. There is also a large open space in front and the palace is surrounded by a large garden.
The palace is now converted into a museum that is home to souvenirs, paintings, jewellery, royal costumes and other items which were once possessed by the formal royal family. We had a knowledgeable afternoon knowing more about the history of the palace before we left for our next destination.

Interesting challenge, where is the story… I have loads of stories with Mysuru Palace… it was a movement when I felt I was totally complete… last to last year came to Mysore for a function and no one was there to take me out, I came with parents but they are not the siteseeing type):… but I ventured out myself without knowning anything and got lost and followed by some guy and returned to hotle. My Dad said he was going to walk so I can join him and we walked to Mysuru Palace…5:30pm was the last time, we went on 6:00pm but my dad talked his way through and surprises we stayed to check out the Mysuru Palace illumination… it was a gift for me that day absolutely…watching the Palace slowly light when it gets dark… I felt like the luckiest person on earth…anyway… nice!!
