We had planned a road trip to Yellowstone National Park last summer. Since it was a long drive from Seattle we decided to visit other beautiful locations along the way. We booked an overnight stay at Palouse, as we had read that this place is picture perfect. Most of the visitors go there to capture the beauty of the rolling hills and its unique geological farmland. Regardless of the time of the year that you visit; you are assured of finding a perfect shot.
As we went there in early July the expansive fields of wheat and canola were showing their many hues of green; before turning to yellow. We clicked many beautiful pictures and panorama shots. Few of these can be found in my earlier blog posts here and here.
My thank you to Priceless Joy for nominating me to this special Five Photos Five Stories challenge. I am to post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story, either fiction or non-fiction, or a short paragraph, to the photo each day. Next I am to select one person (each day), to carry on this challenge. Accepting the challenge is entirely upto the person nominated, and is not mandatory.
Today I would like to invite, Linda author of the blog Living With My Ancestors to join the fun here.
I really enjoyed reading your post and the photo is beautiful – those green rolling hills. Thank you for accepting the challenge Ruchi. ((Hugs))

I love this photo. The lush, verdant shades of green, the charcoal grey of the distant mountains, clouds a little threatening for a little shower, but not a major storm.
What a beautiful, winding road to travel.
Thank you for sharing! 🙂

What a beautiful photograph, Ruchi! Thanks for sending me the invite. Is there a time limit before starting? I have some family obligations happening the next couple of weeks that might occupy me. If I don’t have to start immediately, I can participate shortly down the road. Let me know! Thanks!

Hi Linda, there is no time limit to start and you can take this challenge at you free will. The main purpose is to have fun and that is what we are looking here 🙂

Before moving to Tuscany two years ago, a photographer friend told me about Palouse, for the first time. Similarities are obvious. And – I recognize this blog theme from somewhere 😉 Good to see what it can do.

Visiting Palouse was a wonderful experience. I can still close my eyes and experience the beauty around.
Where did you recognize this theme from? Am I missing something here!

Oh… only that yours was the first blog I’ve found (or at least noticed) that uses the same theme as I do, McKinley. And I liked how you make it look.

I get that now 😛 Yes even I have not noticed any other blog using this theme. Until now when I met you. So we are now theme buddies 🙂
