Five Photos- Five Stories- Dance

We were on a relaxing vacation in Bali, Indonesia a few years back. We had booked the local sightseeing tours as Bali has lots of cultural history to offer. We had an early breakfast this particular day and at 8:30 AM our cab arrived and the driver took us to see a famous Barong dance performance at Batubulan village. This is a dance that describes the fight between good and evil. All the performers here were wearing unique masks and narrating the story with their facial expressions and dance steps on the music. There was a large crowd gathered in an open theater and at the end of the show we also had a chance to click our pictures with the performers.

My thank you to Priceless Joy for nominating me to this special Five Photos Five Stories challenge. I am to post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story, either fiction or non-fiction, or a short paragraph, to the photo each day. Next I am to select one person (each day), to carry on this challenge. Accepting the challenge is entirely upto the person nominated, and is not mandatory.

Today I would like to nominate author of the blog, In and Out of the Kitchen to participate in this challenge.

    1. There are lots of activities to do at Bali. If you like water sports then Tanjung Benoa beach is a good place for that. Visit the holy temple of Pura Uluwatu and watch the Kecak dance at dusk. You can also go to watch the traditional Barong dance. There are also few ancient monasteries if you like visiting those.

  1. So saw a dance performance in Bali, nice that people appreciate art. I think dance can tell a story even more colorfully with music and gestures to have one mesmerized.
